Power Point: Build Your Life On Jesus

How can we afford not to teach this lesson? In the society we are living in today, people are building on all kinds of self serving foundations that directly contradict the Bible and the message of Jesus Christ. Our kids are constantly being threatened with the moral decay of the “God Ordained” family union between a man and a woman. Homosexuals are rising with a strong voice, giving our generation a foundational message known as “the alternative lifestyle.” God never asked us to live an alternative lifestyle. He sent Jesus to die on the cross for our sin to free us from this “alternative lifestyle.”

Our kids are over exposed to all types of unclean messages from the media that promote fornication, adultery, and idolatry. Our kids are being bombarded by pornographic images on the internet which promote all kinds of lewd, lustful and immoral activities that are rapidly destroying families. Let us not forget the ever present peer pressure our kids are facing daily from friends who have not decided to live for God. With so many lifestyle foundations being introduced to kids at a young age, we must understand the seriousness of convincing our kids to build their lives on the foundation of Jesus. He is the only solid foundation. We can rely on him.

He has our best in mind. In order for our kids to build their lives on Jesus, they first must make a definite decision that they will live for Him and Him only. They must know His Word, trust Him, and obey Him.

Our children are the next generation of leaders. Whatever foundation they learn now is what they will build on. Can you imagine what this world will be like in 50 years if our kids do not start building their lives on the message of Jesus Christ today? Every lesson you teach is important. The early developmental years of children’s lives are foundational years. It is best to lay a Christ centered foundation now, so they can build a purposeful life that is led by God’s Holy Spirit. Today, we want to teach the kids to build their lives on Jesus. He is the only solid foundation.
